Obaseki has proposed an airport for Edo North.
Gatekeepers News reports that Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Southern Nigeria has commenced plans to construct an airport in Edo North Senatorial District.
Obaseki disclosed this during an enlarged meeting of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members across wards and local government areas in the district.
The Governor stated that he was in talks with investors, development partners, and other stakeholders on the project, to open up the area and rev up economic activities in the state.
According to him, his administration has been working on improving the transportation network in the State, adding that they have done some studies and found out that an Airport in Edo North is feasible.
PDP chieftain and former Deputy Governor of the State, Mike Oghiadomhe, commended Obaseki’s developmental strides.
Oghiadomhe, therefore, pledged loyalty and support of party faithful from the district to Obaseki’s administration.
