Pope Francis has declared his readiness to help the Federal Government of Nigeria tackle insecurity.
Gatekeepers News reports that Pope Francis has declared his support and readiness to work with the Federal Government of Nigeria to end insecurity in the country and sub-Saharan region.
The Pope gave the assurance in a statement by the Vatican City after receiving a letter of credence from the Nigerian Ambassador to the Holy See, Paul Oga Adikwu.
The Pontiff applauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the effort put so far in the fight against insecurity in Nigeria, and promised to assist with prayers.
The Vatican City said, “The Holy Father, Pope Francis, expressed readiness to collaborate with Nigeria to overcome the security challenges currently witnessed in the sub-Saharan region.
“Pope Francis appreciates the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to combat security challenges witnessed in some parts of the country.
“The Holy Father said the problem is not just a Nigerian problem, but a global one, saying he will personally be involved in praying for Nigeria to overcome the situation.”
