Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing have reacted to their suspension by TAMPAN.
Gatekeepers News reports that Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing have both taken to Instagram to react to their suspension by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
TAMPAN banned the two actresses and instructed directors and producers under its guild to desist from working with them till the association lifts their ban.
Ojo while responding to the development on her Instagram page, said she cannot be silenced when it comes to the issue of child molestation in Nigeria.
The actress wrote: “Silence is golden. Is why a lot of our girl or boy child gets abused, molested or raped daily and yet they’re afraid to speak up…. because they’ll be bullied to silence by the same society meant to protect them.”
“Silence ain’t golden in Nigeria. I can never be silenced, know that & know God period.”
Similarly, Nkechi Blessing has also lashed out at TAMPAN for vowing to work against her in the film industry.
In May, Blessing and Kehinde Adams were suspended by TAMPAN over their fight on social media.
Blessing took to her Instagram Stories to say nothing would stop her from airing her views.
She wrote: “For as many that have vowed to work against me, may they work against themselves and their entire generation unborn only I have ever wished evil on anyone!”
