Gatekeepers News reports that the emergence of the duo follows the eviction of the last girl standing, Akunna on Sunday.
Akunna was evicted after she garnered the least votes from the audience of the show which kicked off on March 14, 2021.
She had during the 14th episode performed ‘Johnny’ by Yemi Alade as her first song but her delivery was criticised by Nigerian songwriter and producer, Cobhams who noted that she gave a weak start to the rendition of the hit song.
Gatekeepers News reports that the barrister-cum-singer also failed to impress the seasoned vocalist in her second performance when she sang ‘Only Girl (In the World)’ by Rihanna, Barbadian singer.
Akunna was evicted despite her display of energy and vocal prowess.
This leaves two top contestants; Francis and Kingdom to continue the tough race and a winner will be crowned the Nigerian Idol on Sunday.
