JUST IN: Italy Win Euro 2020 Undefeated

Italy have defeated England in a 3-2 penalty shoot-out to win the Euro 2020 finals.

Gatekeepers News reports that Italy have maintained their unbeaten record by beating England to win the Euro 2020 final.

Misses from Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and finally 19-year-old Bukayo Saka shattered England’s hope of winning a trophy after 55 years.

Gareth Southgate men were quick at the lead in the first two minutes of the game after Manchester United’s Luke Shaw scored a superb goal.

The Italians who have made an undefeated sheet all through the tournament couldn’t hide the eagerness to level up, thereby placed more pressure on the defence of the England side.

Luckily for Roberto Mancini’s Leonardo Bonucci was able to slide the ball past Jordan Pickford who has been having a beautiful save until the 65th minute.

All efforts to score a winning goal to move the scoreline pass 1-1 before full-time at Wembley proved abortive as both teams played tough and none were willing to give in.

England’s Jordan Pickford cut the Italians no slack as he displayed some brilliant and skillful saves in the extra time of the game.

At the other side of the post as Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish who gave Lorenzo Pellegrini and Jorginho.

 

It was indeed a memorial night for Southgate who while he was a player missed a penalty which saw England home at the Euro ’96 but this time it was Saka.
