Gatekeepers News reports that Abiodun voted at Ward 3, Polling Unit 2, Ita-Isoyin, Iperu Remo.

The Governor had earlier announced a statewide restriction of movement between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m to allow smooth and peaceful conduct of local government elections.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) is expected to conduct the councilorship and chairmanship elections in all the 236 wards across the 20 local government areas in the state.

Voters have already started casting their ballots at different polling units in Iperu Remo, Ogun East Senatorial District and at Kuto area of Abeokuta South Local Government Areas.

It was however observed that the turnout is still low.
