Lagos Leads As Nigeria Records 558 New COVID-19 Cases
Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria led the daily infection chart as Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 558 new cases.

Gatekeepers News  reports that the NCDC, in its daily update on the Coronavirus outbreak, disclosed that 44 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres in the country, while two persons died of complications

A State-by-State breakdown of the fresh infections which were reported in 16 Nigerian States, is as follows; Lagos-376, Oyo-33, Akwa Ibom-26, FCT-22, Imo-15, Bayelsa-13, Ekiti-13, Kano-12, Ogun-11, Plateau-11, Delta-9, Jigawa-6, Rivers-4, Zamfara-4, Edo-2, Ebonyi-1.

“Today’s report includes 0 cases from Kaduna, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Osun States,” the Centre for Disease Control added.

Gatekeepers News reports that as of July 29, 2021, Nigeria has confirmed a total of 178,821 cases which include 164,930 recoveries and 2,141 deaths across the federation.
