Nigeria has recorded 422 New COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths.
Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 422 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths on Monday, August 9, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 178,508.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.
In the report, Lagos recorded the highest infections with 190 new cases, while Rivers followed with 86 cases, Ogun-85, Oyo-22, FCT-20, Kwara-7, Edo-5, Abia-4, and Bayelsa recorded just 3.
Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,192 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 165,982 have recovered and have been discharged.
