I Forgave Myself – Erica Reflects 1 Year After BBN Disqualification

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ngozi “Erica” Nlewedim on Monday reflected on her life one year after being disqualified from season 5 of the reality show.

Gatekeepers News reports that Erica was disqualified on September 6, 2020, after she was issued three strikes by Biggie. She was handed her third strike after Biggie found her guilty of defacing his property, bullying her co-housemates, among other offences. The highlight was the altercation she had with her fellow ex-housemate, Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshebioba who was crowned winner of the ‘Lockdown’ edition. Although, the duo settled their differences on eve of the season six launch.

Erica’s exit was a shocker to the viewers of the show, but her fans threw their weight behind her against all odds. The Elites, as Erica’s fans call themselves, immediately opened a GoFundMe account that generated millions of Naira. On her 27th birthday, the Elites further proved their loyalty, as they gifted the ‘Star girl’ a three-bedroom house with an attached boys quarters located in Lekki, stocks worth N4.8 million, to mention a few.

Gatekeepers News reports that Erica has also been doing well for herself as reputable brands continue to make her their ambassador.

Reflecting on her life a year after she was disqualified from the reality show, Erica wrote: “The past one year I’ve been working, singleminded, almost like a robot, not thinking of how far I’ve come, just focused on my goals, trying to outdo myself, trying to make everyone around me proud, my life has been on fast forward & It was a lot, it took its toll on me and I had to take a break to heal and I thought rest was all I needed until a loved one asked me what I would tell the Erica of September 6 2020, I thought about it and couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t understand how I had successfully avoided thinking about any of the traumatic experiences that had happened to me in the past one year, it was a struggle think back to those moments of fear and sadness but I did, I spoke to Erica, I forgave her, I applauded her, I promised her she would be proud of herself in a few months and she would be surrounded by so much love.

“I’m healed and I’ve come so far!! I want to thank God, my loved ones, my Elites words can’t describe much I appreciate you,
my management @upfrontandpersonalbooking
The @multichoice_group all my fellow housemates, thank you I love you all!”
