Nigeria Records 387 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria has recorded 387 New COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 387 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, September 13, 2021, bringing the number of confirmed infections in the country to 199,538.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in its daily report.

In the report, Lagos recorded the highest infections with 114 new cases, while Rivers followed with 91 cases, FCT-32, Edo-31, Delta-28, Kwara-20, Bayelsa-18, Akwa Ibom-15, and Oyo-10.

Others include Osun-8, Gombe-5, Plateau-5, Ekiti-4, Ogun-3, Kano-2, and Kaduna-1.

NCDC stated that 1,700 recoveries reported for Lagos State were from September 11, 2021, including community discharges, adding that backlog of 9 deaths were also reported from the State.

Since the outbreak on February 27, 2020, a total of 2,619 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 188,427 have recovered and have been discharged.
