International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Alumni Association, Southern Region, is set to hold its engagement event.
Gatekeepers News reports that the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Alumni Association, Southern Region, will, on Saturday, October 23, hold its Engagement Convention tagged “IVLP GATHERS”.
Publicity Secretary, IVLPAA Southern Region, Richard Edoki, who made this known in a statement, said engagement would hold at the Lekki Conservation Centre, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos State, Southern Nigeria.
President of the association, Adetoun Tade, said the event would bring members of the association to network, reconnect and discuss issues of common interests as it affects the association and individual projects.
Tade said, “This gathering will serve as a reunion of the IVLP alumni, as well as an opportunity for the executive to present the report of its performance, and thereafter, have fun in a relax environment.”
The statement read further, “IVLP is the U.S. Department of State’s foremost professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, present and budding overseas leaders in a multiplicity of disciplines experience America firsthand and develop lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings are set up to reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.
“IVLP Participants are nominated and selected annually by staff of U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world.”
