Gatekeepers News reports that the incident happened at their residence, 11 Ramson Street, off Osolo Way, Ajao Estate, Isolo area of Lagos and she was arrested by the Police in the area before being moved to the Gender Desk of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Saturday.
President, International Charity Initiative and Woman Development Foundation (ICI-WODEF), Helen Ibeji, said Chinaza was found in excruciating pain arising from severe burns on her abdomen as a result of hot water poured on her by her aunt.
Chinaza was found at Glorious Supermarket along Osolo Way, Ajao Estate where she had gone to buy Gentien Violet with the N50 her aunt gave her to treat herself.
The victim’s aunt, who had earlier applied egg on the wound, stormed the supermarket, saying she had been searching for her all along. She dragged Chinaza away after raining curses on all those who questioned her actions.
Ikeyinna’s husband, Alex who was not around at the time of the incident, reportedly sent a message that ‘she should be reported to the Human Rights office and that he had warned her severally to change from her evil ways to no avail.’
