Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has raised over N97 million within hours as he solicits funds on social media to clear his Rolls Royce.
Gatekeepers News reports that jaws dropped on Wednesday after the ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ crooner took to his Twitter page to beg his followers to send him money.
He shared the account numbers to which the payments should be sent and immediately, within minutes, got N26 million and later N60. However, the money is now over N97 million as he updates his fans on the amount raked in.
It is, however, not clear if Davido himself indeed launched the fundraising or his account has been hacked.
