The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it has submitted names of its nominees to replace the sacked Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Deputy, Eric Kelechi Igwe to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Gatekeepers News reports that the PDP National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu disclosed this while addressing a world press conference at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

He noted that the party submitted the names of Hon. Iduma Igariwey as governor and Fred Udogwo as a deputy to INEC.

Igariwey’s nomination by the PDP followed a verdict of a Federal High Court in Abuja, which sacked Governor Umahi and his deputy, Igwe, following their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is a developing story.
