Barcelona’s women’s team has thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 to clinch the Primera Division in the best way possible on Sunday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the women Catalans have defeated Real Madrid women to retain their championships for the third season in a row.
The Sunday victory catapulted Barcelona to 22 points clear at the top of the table with six games left to play.
Meanwhile, they have earlier won all their 24 games played so far, with an astonishing 136 goals scored and only six conceded.
In 2021, the Catalans clinched a historic treble by winning the league, alongside the Champions League, and Copa de la Reina.
After already winning the Spanish Super Cup as well this term, they could yet go one better and do the quadruple.
They are currently in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, in which they will face Real Madrid again, however, this time will be two legs, and the quarter-finals of the cup, with a game against Real Sociedad to come next week.
The home leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League will be held at the 99,000-capacity Camp Nou.
