Job Title: Chartered Accountant

Job Description

  • Familiar with manufacturing and cost accounting
  • Working in a manufacturing outfit will be an advantage.
  • Vast the use of accounting software
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
  • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
  • Prepare budget and financial projections
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyse and summarize account information
  • Compute and prepare tax returns and ensure all tax and other company statutory obligations are processed on time
  • Prepare balance sheet, profit/loss statement, etc., preparation of financial accounts of the company
  • Develop periodic Accounts and Financial Reporting for management
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulations, and legislation

Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Membership in the relevant professional body (ICAN, ACCA)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Minimum of 5 years in the cognate industry
  • Fluent in English; Good communication skills
  • Between 35 – 45 years
  • Good people management skills
  • Energetic and hardworking

Job Title: Executive Director

Job Description

  • The Executive Director is the key management leader of the Foundation. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and patient outreach.

Duties

  • Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors/Advisory to seek their involvement in strategic and operational decisions, fundraising, and to increase the overall visibility of the organization.
  • Supervise, and collaborate with organization staff.
  • Strategic planning and implementation.
  • Planning and operation of the annual budget.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson to the Foundation’s stakeholders, the media, and the general public.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance the firm’s Mission.
  • Engage in fundraising and developing other revenues.
  • Oversee marketing and other communications efforts.
  • Oversee organization Board and committee meetings.
  • Establish employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit.
  • Review and approve contracts for services.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Boards.
  • Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy that consistently achieves its vision
  • Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board and staff and carry out plans and policies authorized by the board.
  • Promote active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the organization’s work.
  • Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field
  • See that the board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all important factors influencing it.
  • Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the general public.
  • Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations.
  • Publicize the activities of the organization, its programmes, and its goals.
  • Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel, both paid staff, and volunteers.
  • Maintain a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people.
  • Encourage staff and volunteer development and education and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization.
  • See that an effective management team, with appropriate provision for succession, is in place.
  • Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluation are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place.
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices.
  • Work with the staff, Finance Committee, and the board in preparing a budget; see that the organization operates within budget guidelines.
  • Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work.
  • Jointly, with the Chairman and Secretary of the Board of directors, conduct official correspondence of the organization, and jointly, with designated officers, execute legal documents.
  • Ensure that the right partnerships are formed with the Private and Public Sectors to ensure continuous programme delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with relevant professional certification in the nonprofit and administrative space
  • Masters Degree
  • Three (3) or more years of Senior Nonprofit Management experience
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making, and reporting.
  • Active fundraising experience. Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community.
  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
  • Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies, and volunteers.
  • A history of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving financial results.
  • Able to promote connection with the firm’s beneficiaries by ensuring they feel genuinely supported and connected with the people, vision, and mission of the foundation
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. The Executive Director must be able to build relationships with both the outside community the beneficiaries and promote awareness of the organization to the outside community
  • Experience and skill in working with the Board of Directors.
  • Transparent and high integrity leadership skills
  • Good networking and presentation skills
  • Critical and lateral thinking skills
  • Fundraising skills
  • Highly analytical with negotiating skills
  • Usage and understanding of Office productivity tools.
