APC Will Not Disintegrate After Presidential Primary Election- Ndume

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has on Saturday assured that his party- the All Progressives Congress (APC ) will remain cohesive and not disintegrate during and after the Presidential Primary election slated for May 29  through May 30th

Nudume who is also the Director General of former Minister of Transportation,  Chibuike  Rotimi Amaechi  Presidential Campaign Organisation  identified Amaechi,  APC Leader ,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice  President Yemi Osinbajo as the three front runners for  the APC Presidential ticket stating that the trio have no plans to ditch the party regardless of the outcome of the primary election.

Also, Senator Ndume who represent Borno South Senatorial District did not mince words when he revealed that his choice Presidential aspirant, Amaechi, made  far more contributions that led the successful emergence President Muhammadu Buhari as President in 2015 than Tinubu.

This was disclosed in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital during interactive section with Journalists where Senator Ndume revealed that he is seeking to contest the Borno South Senatorial for the fourth time after two terms as Member of the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2011.

The outspoken Senator stated that the APC has its internal mechanism to ensure fairness justice and end equity to all contestants and does not see anything that would lead to the disintegration of party before , during and after the Presidential Primary Election.

“I don’t think there will be disintegration in APC , APC will conclude its Presidential Primary election and remain intact.  I dont think Amaechi, Tinubu and Osinbajo are desperate about becoming the next president of Nigeria.

“I also don’t think it’s fair for some people to insinuate that APC is not being fair to Tinubu. Yes Tinubu used his resources and strategies to lead the merger struggle, but I can tell you that Amaechi put in more.

“Amaechi risked his life and they almost killed him. Remember that this was someone who left his South-South brother- former President Goodluck Jonathan, he bolted out of PDP and came to APC , this is somebody that put in everything that he has , he became Director General of Buhari Campaign Organisation twice and I dont want to talk about his financial commitment .

“So, yes Tinubu put in a lot, but the merger wouldn’t have happened if he was alone , so this matter of insinuating that the APC  is not fair to Tinubu is wrong” Ndume said.

The Senator who is the Chairman Senate  Committee on Army said Amaechi is the best and most prepared aspirant that is set to fix Nigeria’s Insecurity problems.

“We have the former Chief of Army Staff  Lt Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai who is the Deputy Director General of the Amaechi Campaign Organisation.  We also have the former Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba and many other former top security personnel amongst our campaign team.  I’m optimistic if Amaechi becomes the next Nigeria President, he will fix insecurity in one year .

“Amaechi has done it before in Rivers State while Buratai and Abb were the Brigade Commander and Police Commissioner respectively, I believe if he’s elected as APC candidate and subsequently the next President of Nigeria, he will fix the insecurity problems in the country ” Ndume said.
