Don’t Blame Kanu For Biafran Agitators’ Actions – Simon Ekpa

Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and Separatist, has said that he is exonerating the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from any actions that Biafrans will carry out.

Gatekeepers News reports that Ekpa, the Finland-based lawyer, made this known in a video shared on his Twitter handle on Sunday.

“The reason for us not taking orders anymore from the DSS dungeon is to safeguard our leader. We want our leader to be safe, we want to exonerate our leader from anything that Biafrans will be doing for his own best interests,” he said in the video.

“So any actions that Biafra people will be taking in Biafra land you don’t attach Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it. Any actions that Biafrans will be taking in Biafra land for the freedom of Biafra, freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and freedom of all prisoners of conscience you do not bring Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it.”

The video come at the heels of a handwritten letter Kanu reportedly authorised his special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, to read out to journalists during a world press conference held in Enugu on Friday.

In the letter, Kanu declared an end to all sit-at-home order in the South-East and any other proposed means aimed by the group at forcing government to release him from detention.

The IPOB leader unequivocally stated that anyone henceforth engaging in any sit-at-home in the region is no longer his disciple.

Kanu, in a written declaration dated July 24, 2023, which Ejimakor read, followed the refusal of Ekpa, to announce the cancellation and further declaration through his media platforms.

Ekpa however said the letter was fake and untrue. He claimed the letter is from mischief-makers who do not want Biafra liberation.

Ekpa reiterated the call for the release of Kanu to ensure lasting peace in the Southeast.
