Protest In Abuja Over Sack Of UMTC Boss By Wike

Staff of the Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company (AUMTCO), are currently protesting the sack of the agency’s Managing Director, Najeed Abdulsalam.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, had on Wednesday ordered the removal of 21 heads of FCT agencies, parastatals, and government companies of the FCT Administration (FCTA).

In a statement by his Director of Press, Office of the Minister, Anthony Ogunleye, Wike also ordered the affected appointees to hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior officers in rank.

The staff members of AUMTCO were in tears, as they protested Abdulsalam’s removal.
