APC Reschedules Edo State Governorship Primary Election

All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the rescheduling of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election to Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Gatekeepers News reports that the decision was revealed in a statement signed by National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka.

The decision was made following an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) to consider the report on the primary election.

According to the NWC, the primary election has not been completed, necessitating the rescheduling.

“At its emergency meeting held today, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to consider the report on the Edo State Governorship Primary Election, the National Working Committee (NWC) deliberated on the report and resolved that the Edo State Governorship Primary Election has not been completed, and has now fixed Thursday February 22, 2024 for the completion of the Primary Election Process.” the statement read.

This development comes amidst the confusion and controversies surrounding the primary election in Edo State.
