Tight Security As Court Begins Hearing On Kano Emirate Tussle

A federal high court sitting in Kano has commenced a hearing on the Kano Emirates tussle between the reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi ll, and the deposed Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero.

Gatekeepers News reports that the court facility is heavily secured by officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) who are in pole position so as to put under control any breakdown of law and order.

There is also restricted movement around the area and vehicles are being diverted from Court Road to Zoo Road and the Gyadi-Gyadi area of the town pending the conclusion of the hearing.
