American Reality TV series ‘90 Day Fiance’ star, Angela Deem has filed for an annulment from her estranged Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi who is also a star of the show.
Gatekeepers News reports that court documents obtained by In Touch showed that Angela, 58, submitted a complaint to Georgia court on June 20.
According to Angela’s filing, she married Michael who is thirty-five years old on January 27, 2020, in Nigeria.
The paperwork stated, “The parties have continuously lived in a state of separation for 30 days preceding this filing.”
Angela’s grounds for annulment are that Michael fraudulently induced her into marriage “to gain legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
It was stated in her petition, first reported by Starcasm, that Angela discovered after Michael abandoned her, that he was involved in a scheme with other Nigerian men to marry U.S. citizens for residency purposes.
Angela noted that there are no minor children from the marriage and none are expected.
Also, she noted that there is no joint property or debt to be divided between them and requested that the court restore her maiden name ‘Deem’.
In addition, Angela asked that Michael be ordered to cover a reasonable amount of attorney fees and court costs.
She included a declaration stating that she doesn’t know his whereabouts, as she is unable to locate him.
Michael has, however, not yet responded to the case.
‘90 Day Fiancé’ is a reality show that documents the lives of couples who have applied for or received a K-1 visa aka fiance visa.
