Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the reintroduction of several key economic reports, including the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), Business Expectation Survey (BES), and Inflation Expectation Report, to promote transparency and accountability in the Nigerian economy.
Gatekeepers News reports that these reports, according to a statement by Acting Director of Corporate Communications, Hakama Sidi Ali, will provide stakeholders with timely and accurate insights into the country’s economic performance.
“These reports, including the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), Business Expectation Survey (BES), Inflation Expectation Report, and other macroeconomic indicators, will provide stakeholders with timely and accurate insights into the country’s economic performance,” the statement read.
The reintroduction of these reports is part of the CBN’s data enhancement initiative to ensure public access to essential economic indicators. The reports will be periodically released on the CBN’s official website, making them easily accessible.
The CBN urged economists, analysts, investors, and the general public to utilize these reports to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Nigeria’s economic dynamics, contributing to a more informed and inclusive economic discourse.
