Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed has appealed to MaxAir to return its flight operations at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor made the plea on Monday during a visit by CEO/Chairman of MaxAir Airline Limited, Alhaji Dikko Dahiru Mangal to Government House.
Mangal paid the Governor a condolence visit over the death of Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa Danyaya.
Bala stated the significance of Max Air’s presence in Bauchi, adding that the airline’s flight operations have contributed significantly to the state’s economic growth during its first operations.
The Governor acknowledged challenges faced by the airline but encouraged it to continue operating in Bauchi, promising government’s support.
Before this, Mangal had extended his condolence to people and government of Bauchi over the Emir’s passing, describing him as a great leader and a symbol of unity.
He assured the Governor that Max Air would consider his request and work towards returning its flight operations to Bauchi.
