Napoli have agreed to a deal for Victor Osimhen to join Turkey’s Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
Gatekeepers News reports that Skyltalia, an Italian sports news revealed that Galatasaray is expected to pay Osimhen’s full salary during the loan spell, but it won’t be obligated to pay the striker once the season is over.
Skyltalia added that Aurelio De Laurentiis, the owner of Napoli, has given his support to the deal, and “the player side has also given the green light to the operation”.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist however said though Napoli has accepted the deal, Osimhen is yet to decide on the move.
The journalist added that Galatasaray delegation will meet with Osimhen in the next few hours to finalise the deal.
Recall that Napoli had on Saturday, excluded Osimhen from official list of the team’s squad submitted to league website, and gave Romelu Lukaku his jersey number nine.
The club later revealed that the initial decision had been reversed, and Lukaku was handed jersey number 11 instead of the earlier one given to him.
Although the summer transfer window has closed in most European countries, the market remains active in Turkey until September 13.
