Tito Jackson, American singer and original member of the Jackson 5 pop group and brother of the late Michael Jackson is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tito performed in Jackson 5 pop with his brothers; Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, who died in 2009.
The cause of the seventy-year-old man’s death is yet to be known.
Tito was recently in Munich ahead of a performance that the group was due to give.
A long-time Jackson family friend and former Jackson family manager, Steve Manning told Entertainment Tonight that Jackson died on Monday.
His demise was confirmed in an Instagram post by Jackson’s three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson, who were also an R’n’B/pop trio in 1990s.
They wrote, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken.”
“Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
“He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.”
“Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another’. We love you Pops.”
Jackson 5 pop group, originally named the Jackson Brothers, was formed in 1962 in Gary, Indiana. They began performing locally and were later signed with Motown Records in 1969.
