Sean Combs, aka Diddy, was arrested Monday evening at Manhattan’s Park Hyatt New York following a grand jury indictment.
Gatekeepers News reports that the charges remain sealed, but his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, suspects racketeering and s3x trafficking.
Homeland Security Investigations officers made the arrest around 8:30 p.m. Combs’s legal team expressed disappointment, stating he had been cooperative and voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of charges.
Federal agents previously raided Combs’s Los Angeles and Miami Beach homes in March as part of a human trafficking investigation.
This arrest follows mounting scrutiny since Cassie’s 2023 lawsuit accused him of s3x trafficking and years of abuse. Five additional women have since filed sexual assault lawsuits.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams promised more information once the indictment is unsealed.
Combs, a significant figure in hip-hop’s commercial rise, will be held overnight and arraigned Tuesday.
This case marks a significant development in the music industry, with Combs being the highest-profile figure to face such charges since R. Kelly’s conviction.
