Senate has postponed the screening of newly appointed ministers from Tuesday, 29 October 2024 to Wednesday, 30 October 2024.
Gatekeepers News reports that special adviser to the president on senate matters, Basheer Lado announced this through a statement released on Tuesday.
According to Lado, the postponement is to allow all the seven nominees to conclude their documentation.
Recall that President Tinubu sacked five ministers and asked the senate to confirm seven new ministerial nominees last week.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu was appointed as minister of state foreign affairs and Jumoke Oduwole was appointed as minister of industry, trade, and investment.
The president replaced the suspended Betta Edu with Nentawe Yilwatda as minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction while Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi was appointed as new minister of labour and employment.
Idi Mukhtar Maiha was appointed as minister of livestock development, and Yusuf Abdullahi Ata was appointed as minister of state, housing, and urban development.
The president also approved Suwaiba Said Ahmad as minister of state, education.
