Governor of Sokoto state, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has congratulated Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Political Science by Federal University Dustin-Ma, Katsina State.
Gatekeepers News reports that Governor Aliyu congratulated senator Wamakko through a statement released.
He said, “On behalf of the government and people of Sokoto State, I join millions of your supporters and friends, to heartily celebrate and congratulate you on this award which you more than richly deserve considering your service to our dear Motherland in virtually every sphere; politics, education, humanitarian, religious etc.”
“As your son, I testify to your commitment to good governance; to ensuring a better life for the poor and vulnerable; to education which led you to establish the North-West University, Sokoto and the sponsorship of thousands of our students in higher education and in the propagation of Islam etc.”
“Our father, we are proud of your accomplishments and the honour you bring to our dear state with your several awards.”
“Once more, on behalf of the good people of Sokoto State, I congratulate you and urge you not to rest on your oars.”
