Emeka Ihedioha, Former Governor of Imo state has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his emergence as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Gatekeepers News reports that Azuta-Mbata was elected as head of the association on Friday, January 10, 2025.
The politician in a congratulatory message directed to Azuta-Mbata, praised the president’s accomplishments as a businessman, politician, and statesman.
Ihedioha expressed confidence that the president will bring his “wealth of experience” to carry out his duties, thereby steering the cause of Ndo Igbo and positioning the Igbo race in the country’s challenging politics.
The politician further assured the president of his support as he took on the new role.
He said, “ I congratulate you My Dear Brother and Friend on your emergence yesterday as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.”
“Over the years, You have cut an image for yourself as an Accomplished business man, politician and statesman, who has served Rivers State and Nigeria meritoriously.”
“I am confident that you will bring your wealth of experience and forte through this role. There is no doubt that you posses the requisite credentials to steer the cause of Ndi Igbo and rightfully position the Igbo race in the challenging politics of our today’s Nigeria.”
“I will ever be ready to give you the necessary support as we progress.”
