EPL: Liverpool Beat Man City 2-0 To Open 11-Point Lead At Top

Liverpool scored 2-0 win over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in English Premier League (EPL) on Sunday.

Man City gave a rare start to Kevin de Bruyne but benched Erling Haaland, while Salah led Liverpool’s attack alongside Luiz Diaz.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 14th minute, with his deflected shot finding the net.

Dominik Szoboszlai doubled the lead in the 37th minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack.

Despite dominating possession, Manchester City couldn’t break down Liverpool’s defense.

This marks Liverpool’s 23rd consecutive unbeaten league match and their first double over Manchester City in nine years.

Liverpool now have 64 points from 27 matches, while Manchester City remain in fourth place with 44 points from 26 games.
