Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said that all political parties in Akwa Ibom State have come together to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Gatekeepers News reports that Akpabio made the statement on Friday during the second phase of his constituency empowerment programme and project commissioning in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.

The Senate President said the state is now politically aligned to support three major re-election bids: Tinubu for President, Governor Umo Eno for a second term, and himself for the Senate.

Akpabio said, “As I speak with you, there is nothing like a political party in 2027 in Akwa Ibom state again.”

“For the senate of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district, all political parties have collapsed to vote for Senator Godswill Akpabio.”

“For the office of the governor in 2027, all political parties have agreed to vote for Governor Umo Eno.”

“Akwa Ibom has moved to vote for President Bola Tinubu, Eno for governor of Akwa Ibom state, and Senator Akpabio for senate.”

“The Peoples Democratic Party is in shreds and the umbrella can no longer protect.”

The politician praised Eno for uniting the state across political divides and fostering peace and development.

He said, “Let me thank Governor Umo Eno because he is a man of peace. He is a man of God both in attitude and actions. He has been able to bring us all together in Akwa Ibom and that is why we are enjoying peace in the state, because he acts his words.”

“President Tinubu is very happy with Akwa Ibom state because of the peace in the state through collaborations of Governor Eno and the president of the senate, which has brought development to the state.”

During the event, Akpabio distributed various empowerment items including minibuses, cars, tricycles, cargo tricycles, refrigerators, sewing machines, and cash grants. Scholarships were also awarded to beneficiaries across the state’s three senatorial districts.
