Gatekeepers News reports that the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, in a statement, noted that the repair project, which will be carried out by the Federal Ministry of Works, is scheduled to run from Sunday, May 18 to Sunday, June 8, 2025.

Osiyemi said to minimise traffic disruption, the maintenance has been divided into two phases.

The statement reads, “Phase 1 will span from the foot of Marine Bridge (Lawani Oguntayo Road inbound Apapa/Costain) while Phase 2 will cover Ijora Badia and Lilypond Access Ramp inbound Apapa.”

“During this course of the maintenance, motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes:”

“PHASE 1 – Motorists inbound Apapa from Ijora Olopa. Motorists from Ijora Olopa heading towards Apapa are to use Ijora Causeway access ramp by Omni Retail Company and continue their journey.”

“PHASE 2 – Motorists Inbound Apapa from Costain. Motorists heading to Apapa from Costain will be diverted into a contraflow on the lane inbound Costain.”

“In the same vein, from 2nd to 8th June, 2025, Motorists from Ijora Olopa going to Apapa will be diverted through Ijora Causeway access ramp by Omni Retail Company into Lilypond Access Road to continue their journeys.”
