South-South APC Governors – Leaders Back Tinubu For 2027 Re-Election

Governors and leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south-south geopolitical zone have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, ahead of 2027 general elections.

Gatekeepers News reports that Fred Itua, chief press secretary to Edo Governor, in a statement, revealed that the endorsement was made during an APC stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday, in Benin City, the state capital.

The event was attended by prominent party figures who praised Tinubu’s leadership and pledged support for his renewed hope agenda.

Among those who spoke were Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North), Minister of Niger Delta Development Abubakar Momoh, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River, and former Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva.

They expressed confidence in Tinubu, highlighting key reforms such as the student loan initiative and tax exemptions for low-income earners as achievements of the current administration.

Okpebholo expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by fellow leaders, describing the meeting as historic.

He described Tinubu as a “capacity-working president,” adding that his administration’s policies have made governance more effective and promoted national development.

He also pledged to deliver 2.5 million votes for Tinubu in Edo State in 2027, referencing ongoing road construction projects in Uhunmwonde as a result of presidential support.
