Ireti Kingibe To Register With ADC Dec 18

Ireti Kingibe, senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has announced plans to register as a member of African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday, December 18.

Gatekeepers News reports that Kingibe had earlier in July announced her exit from Labour Party (LP) in favour of ADC ahead of 2027 general election.

According to statement issued on Wednesday, Kennedy Mbele, her senior special assistant on media, the registration ceremony would take place at 10 am at ADC national headquarters in Wuse, Abuja.

According to the statement, the exercise will officially seal Kingibe’s departure from the LP and formally admit her into the ADC fold.

Party leaders, ADC candidates for February 21 FCT area council elections, supporters and members of the media are expected at the event.

The statement added, “”Kingibe’s bold step of joining ADC makes her the only serving senator in the new but vibrant opposition party, ADC”, adding that her experience and profile make her an invaluable asset in any political space across the globe.
