Aliyu Wamakko, senator representing Sokoto North, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda as well-intentioned and crucial for Nigeria’s long-term stability and development.

Gatekeepers News reports that he spoke on Thursday in Sokoto during the launch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration exercise at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Hall in Gawon Nama.

The event brought together party leaders and members from all 23 local government areas of the state. Wamakko, who became the first party member to register electronically, called the exercise timely and strategic, noting that it would strengthen the APC ahead of upcoming political engagements.

He attributed the absence of Governor Ahmad Aliyu to the governor’s participation in the lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia. Wamakko praised APC as a party with a national outlook and inclusive ideology and commended President Tinubu for implementing bold reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

Wamakko said, “I am personally close to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I know his intentions for Nigeria and Nigerians.”

“He is committed to building a stronger, more prosperous, and stable country, and I pray that Allah continues to guide him to move Nigeria forward for the benefit of present and future generations.”

Acknowledging that reforms often face challenges, Wamakko urged Nigerians to be patient and support policies designed to achieve long-term progress.

APC chairman in the state, Isah Achida, said the registration exercise would continue with the enrolment of the Governor, his deputy, and party members across all LGAs, and called on members to participate promptly to ensure its successful completion within the two-week schedule.
