APC Congress: Aliyu Tasks News Officials To Live Above Board

Governor Ahmed Aliyu has called on the newly elected APC local government executives to work diligently toward ensuring the party’s success in the 2027 elections in the state.

Gatekeepers News reports that according to a statement by Abubakar Bawa, Director General of
Media and Publicity in the Government House on Sunday, the Governor gave the charge in Bodinga Local Government Area while rounding off his monitoring of the party congresses in Sokoto South, Wamakko, and Bodinga local government areas.

He assured the newly elected officials of the state government’s support to enable them to succeed in their assignments.

“I am satisfied with the arrangements made in all the areas I visited, as well as the maturity exhibited by the delegates,” the Governor said.

“I want to commend the APC National Secretariat for sending competent officials to conduct the congress in the state,” he added.

Governor Aliyu further assured the people of the state that the APC in Sokoto remains united and strong, and called on party members to renew their dedication and commitment toward taking the party to greater heights.

Also speaking, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, who hails from Bodinga Local Government Area, commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for the numerous people-oriented projects being executed across the length and breadth of the state.

“Mr. Governor, you have taken us by surprise because you are doing much more than we expected,” he said.

The Minister called on the people of the state to continue supporting the present administration at both the federal and state levels in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

He also urged the newly elected APC officials in Bodinga Local Government Area to dedicate themselves to ensuring that the APC secures more votes in the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, the State APC Chairman Isa Saddiq Achida, congratulated the newly elected executives and charged them to work tirelessly for the development of the party in the state.

He said the Ahmed Aliyu-led administration has recorded tremendous achievements in all sectors of the development, hence the need to support it.

The new APC local government party executives emerged through consensus and were endorsed by key stakeholders across the local government areas of the state.

Across the 23 local government areas of the state, 27 officials were elected to serve as party executives.

In Sokoto South Local Government Area, Hayatu Muhammad emerged as Chairman, Yakubu Dauda Indiye as Vice Chairman, while Hamza Atiku became Secretary.

In Wamakko Local Government Area, Alhaji Umaru Nabara was elected Chairman, Alhaji Masarana Wamakko as Vice Chairman, while Sani Aliyu Maisango emerged as Secretary.

In Bodinga Local Government Area, Isa Aliyu was elected Chairman, Ahmed Tsoho as Vice Chairman, while Alhaji Umar Aliyu Dingyadi emerged as the party’s Secretary.

The Governor was accompanied on the monitoring exercise by the Member representing Kware/Wamakko Federal Constituency, Ahmed Abdullahi Kalambaina, State APC Chairman, Isa Saddiq Achida, Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, the Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto, Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni, representative of the APC leader in the state, Malam Bashiru Gidan Kanawa, commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, and other party stalwarts.
