Mohamed Salah has officially announced that he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/26 season, bringing an end to a remarkable nine-year spell at Anfield.
Gatekeepers News reports that the 33-year-old forward confirmed his decision in an emotional message shared with fans, describing the club as a major part of his life and expressing deep gratitude to supporters, teammates, and the city.
Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 and went on to become one of the club’s greatest-ever players. During his time at the club, he scored 255 goals in 435 appearances, making him the third-highest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history.
He played a key role in Liverpool’s success over the years, helping the team win major trophies including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
Despite signing a contract extension that was meant to keep him at the club until 2027, both parties agreed to part ways earlier, with the club stating that the decision was made out of respect for the player and transparency to fans.
