Governor Bala Mohammed hosted a high-level meeting with Nentawe Yilwatda and Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Government House in Bauchi State, as speculation grows over his possible defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Gatekeepers News reports that the closed-door meeting on Wednesday comes amid reports that Mohammed is exploring his political future ahead of the 2027 general elections, following internal party tensions and efforts to reconcile differences within the PDP.

Although no official announcement was made after the session, political observers say the engagement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership may signal ongoing negotiations about the governor’s next political move.

Earlier reports indicate that Mohammed had met with leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of consultations on where his political alignment could best serve his supporters.
