Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Roberto De Zerbi as the club’s new manager.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Premier League side confirmed the Italian’s appointment in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the move is subject to the approval of a work permit licence.
De Zerbi’s arrival comes less than 48 hours after Tottenham parted ways with Igor Tudor, who managed just one win in seven matches during his brief spell in charge.
The club said De Zerbi becomes Tottenham’s fourth manager in the last nine months, highlighting a turbulent period on the bench since the departure of Ange Postecoglou in June 2025 — two weeks after guiding the team to the UEFA Europa League title.
Postecoglou was succeeded by Thomas Frank, who was dismissed in February with the team sitting 16th in the league after winning just two of their last 17 league matches.
Tudor was then appointed but lasted only 44 days in charge as results continued to decline.
Tottenham are currently battling to avoid relegation, sitting 17th in the league table and just one point above the drop zone.
De Zerbi previously managed Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, where he guided the club to its highest-ever league finish in his debut season and secured European qualification for the first time in its history.
Before returning to England, he was in charge of Olympique de Marseille.
