Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on Poland and Portugal in a pair of international friendly matches scheduled for June 2026.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to the schedule released by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday, the team will face Poland on June 3 before squaring off against Portugal on June 10.
The fixtures come as the Super Eagles build on recent momentum, having secured a 2–1 victory over Iran and a 2–2 draw with Jordan during the March international window in Antalya, Turkey.
Those results helped Nigeria retain 26th position in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings, while remaining third on the African continent.
Head coach Eric Chelle has hinted that the June friendlies could feature an expanded squad, with the potential inclusion of foreign-born players and emerging young talents.
The Franco-Malian tactician said the approach is aimed at strengthening squad depth and preparing the team for upcoming international competitions.
