The Chairman of ADC Congress Committee, Musa Halilu Ahmed, made this known during a press conference held in Maiduguri .

Ahmed commended the party’s stakeholders across the 27 local government areas for a hitch-free congress and for adopting the consensus option in filling all elective positions.

According to him, the leadership of the ADC in the state worked assiduously with the congress committee to achieve a consensus arrangement that promoted unity and a smooth conduct of the exercise.

” The ADC had put in place a mechanism to ensure consensus for all elective positions. I’m happy to announce that most local government areas have adopted consensus option and it was a huge success. ” Ahmed said.

However, the congress committee chairman revealed that some local government councils who are yet to agree on the consensus option would have to take the elections option.
