Bayern Munich moved closer to winning another Bundesliga title after a big 5-0 win over FC St. Pauli on Saturday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the win also saw Bayern set a new record for most goals scored in a single league season. Leon Goretzka scored their second goal, which took their total to 102 and broke a record that had stood since the 1971-72 season.
Even without Harry Kane in the starting lineup, Bayern had no problems. Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, Nicolas Jackson, Raphaël Guerreiro and Goretzka all scored in the match.
The result puts Bayern 12 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who lost earlier in the day to Bayer Leverkusen. With five games left, Bayern could win the title as early as next week.
In that other match, Leverkusen beat Dortmund 1-0 thanks to a goal from Robert Andrich. Despite the loss, Dortmund are still second on the table.
Elsewhere, RB Leipzig got a 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach, with Yan Diomande scoring late to boost their top-four hopes.
There were also wins for other teams at the bottom. FC Heidenheim beat Union Berlin 3-1 to keep their survival hopes alive, while VfL Wolfsburg lost 2-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
