Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Shaun Okojie, has been admitted into the New York Film Academy as he takes a major step toward building a career in acting.
Gatekeepers News reports that the reality TV star announced the development on his Instagram page, sharing photos from the academy’s campus alongside his student identification card.
Shaun described the admission as the beginning of a new chapter in his journey in the entertainment industry, writing, “Not here to chase the dream. Here to build the career. Officially starting my acting journey at NYFA. The work begins.”
The announcement attracted congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues, and fellow entertainers, many of whom have followed his rise since his appearance on the 2024 edition of Big Brother Naija. Shaun participated in the reality show as part of the “Shatoria” pair alongside Victoria Onyenwere.
Before venturing fully into entertainment, Shaun studied Sports Science at University of Bedfordshire and briefly pursued a football career. He has since featured in several film projects, including Christmas On A Budget, Vee’s Valentine Chronicles, and More Than A Feeling.
The New York Film Academy is known for its hands-on training in acting, filmmaking, screenwriting, photography, and other media arts programmes, with campuses in New York, Los Angeles, and other international locations.
