MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show will premiere on Saturday, July 26, 2026, with a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million for the winner.
Gatekeepers News reports that the announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, where organisers revealed that this year’s prize is the biggest in the show’s history since it debuted in 2006.
Preparations for the new season began with physical auditions held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu. The exercise was free and open only to applicants aged 21 and above who presented valid means of identification.
The upcoming edition follows the success of the 2025 season, which was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi.
Imisi emerged victorious over 28 other housemates on October 5, 2025, claiming a prize package valued at N150 million, comprising N80 million in cash and a sport utility vehicle (SUV).
With an increased grand prize and a new lineup of contestants expected, organisers say Season 11 promises to deliver another exciting edition of Nigeria’s biggest reality television show.
