British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six s*xual offences involving five women, the Metropolitan Police and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said on Wednesday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the 50-year-old actor faces two counts of s*xual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences reportedly took place between 2007 and 2016 and involve five women.
The charges followed a Metropolitan Police investigation that began in September 2025. Police said Clarke was arrested on September 25, 2025, after which detectives submitted a file of evidence to the CPS, which authorised the charges.
Clarke, who is best known for playing Mickey Smith in the television series Doctor Who and for writing and starring in the 2006 film Kidulthood, is expected to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21.
Bethan David, deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS London, said prosecutors had determined that there was sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that prosecution was in the public interest.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the women involved continue to receive support from specially trained officers and urged anyone who may have been a victim of s*xual assault to contact the police.
The CPS has also reminded the public that the proceedings are active and that Clarke has the right to a fair trial, warning against commentary that could prejudice the case.
The allegations against Clarke first became widely known in 2021 following a report by The Guardian, which he denied. He subsequently lost a libel case against the newspaper in 2025.
