The Imole Campaign Council of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Gatekeepers News reports that the council, which serves as the campaign vehicle of the Accord Party in Osun State, made the pledge while welcoming Adeleke’s appointment as the state coordinator of Tinubu’s presidential campaign.
In a statement, the council’s Director-General, Olalere Oyewumi, described the appointment as well deserved and assured the president that his confidence in Adeleke’s ability to secure support in Osun would not be misplaced.
Oyewumi said all Accord Party structures in the state would work towards Tinubu’s re-election, reiterating an earlier commitment by the governor to deliver 1.5 million votes for the president.
He urged Osun residents to continue supporting Adeleke, adding that backing Tinubu would also amount to supporting the governor.
The appointment comes ahead of the 2027 general election, as political parties and their allies begin preparations for the presidential contest.
