Tinubu To Commission Akwa Ibom Projects – Attend APC Rallies In Two States

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, where he is expected to commission projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend political rallies ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Gatekeepers News reportsa that according to a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to inaugurate several projects and participate in a political rally.

The projects scheduled for commissioning include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.

Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

The President is also expected to commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents, particularly civil servants, to participate in the reception of the President.

After his engagements in Akwa Ibom, Tinubu will travel to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, to attend an All Progressives Congress rally.

The Rivers rally will be his third since he formally flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

Onanuga said the visits would provide the President with opportunities to engage political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while emphasising unity, political stability and a shared commitment to national progress.

The planned visits come as APC intensifies its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections. Tinubu had earlier indicated that he would not personally attend campaign events in every state, citing his responsibilities as head of government.
