At least 19 bodies have been recovered from the Potomac River after a mid-air collision between an American Airlines flight and a Black Hawk helicopter in Washington DC.
Gatekeepers News reports that the crash occurred near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 pm local time, with both aircraft plunging into the icy waters of the Potomac River.
Rescuers are still searching for survivors in the freezing temperatures, but hopes are dwindling.
The American Airlines Flight 5342, was carrying sixty (60) passengers and four (4) crew members from Wichita, Kansas, while the helicopter had three soldiers on board.
