UK Deports 43 Immigration Offenders To Nigeria – Ghana

United Kingdom (UK) has deported 43 individuals, including failed asylum seekers and foreign offenders, to Nigeria and Ghana.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was disclosed in a joint statement released on Friday by Home Office and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

According to the statement; those removed had no right to be in the UK and included 15 failed asylum seekers and 11 foreign national offenders who had served their sentences. Seven people returned voluntarily.

However, the statement did not specify how many deportees were sent to Nigeria or Ghana, nor did it confirm their exact nationalities and date of their deportation.

Since Prime Minister Keir Starmer assumed office last year, two charter flights have carried a total of 87 individuals to Nigeria and Ghana. Notably, in October, 44 Nigerian and Ghanaian nationals were deported in what marked the largest single deportation flight under the current administration.
